Following the State visit of Chancellor Olaf Scholz of German on Friday, the cordial relations between Kenya and Germany was enhanced.
Chancellor Scholz promised to open doors to 250,000 professional, skilled, and semi-skilled Kenyans in an effort to meet Germany’s huge labor requirements.
At a bilateral meeting and joint press conference at State House Nairobi, President William Ruto asked for the easing of immigration restrictions so that Kenyans can access work opportunities in the European country.

The two leaders also agreed that the globe must cooperate to lessen the effects of climate change.
President Ruto stated that debates about climate change must go beyond “adaptation, loss, and damage” and not to ignore climate financing, climate trading, and climate investment.
President Ruto also declared that he will hold the African Climate Action Summit in Nairobi from September 4 to 6.
This will allow the leaders of the continent to strengthen Africa’s position prior to COP28, he said.
In response, Chancellor Scholz pledged to provide the meeting with financial and technical support.
