I have always witnessed two presidential elections now where the issue of servers playing prominent in the who won presidency. The IEBC and politicians should stop lying to Kenyans about the servers.

The IEBC hires a space( storage) and server software to be able to manage elections efficiently, securely and reliably. The server is a very powerful computer which processes high volumes of data with high speed.

This computer is being offered in the cloud no way as Software as a service ( SAAS), infrastructure as a service (IAAS) etc. and the server has also administrative features to manage the access of data.

There was no way a company hired to provide technology services to IEBC could deny them access to the data in those servers. The IEBC is provided with server privileges to exclusively access their portion of the server.

The company that rents out such services do not have the autonomy to deny access to their customers since it is illegal and criminal. It is like Facebook denying you access to your profile. It doesn’t happen that way unless one violates the contract.

The vendor of the server has no rights to access of IEBC data due to privacy laws in any country. Therefore, the denial to provide presidential elections to the public, or the court was a propaganda to conceal the truth.

We all know the truth which was being concealed from the public. The Supreme Court failed to compel Chebukati to give access to election data, for being part of the accomplices. It was a coverup to favor whoever Chebukati announced as a winner.
