Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga’s running mate Martha Karua has said that the party is gaining ground in the Mt Kenya region.
On Monday May 16, Karua spoke to Citizen TV and said that all people need is a two-way conversation.
“Where you explain to them and give them a chance to raise their concerns and that is what we have been doing,” she explained.
The Narc Kenya party leader saw that people had come in thousands to see and hear Raila, but a few disrupted his meeting.
“They heard a bit about him. They came out in large numbers and voluntarily, meaning they were ready to listen. The mountain is beckoning,” Karua added.
“When you see this kind of competition where people disrupt meetings like what happened in Kutus when Raila came to Kirinyaga, it tells you that our opponents are terrified about what is happening in the mountain,” said Karua.

Since joining Azimio, Karua revealed that she had toured most counties in Mt Kenya except Murang’a, vowing to increase the coalition’s campaigns in the region.
