In order to combat corruption in the nation, President William Ruto has vowed to be harsh.

While stating that Kenyans must receive value for every tax they pay, the President also stated that no one who is proven guilty of graft will escape his wrath, not even his buddies.

No one will steal or waste public resources. I will take them head on,” he said,

He made the comments on Friday  during the funeral of David Wawer Ng’ethe, the father of Dagoretti South member of parliament John Kiarie, in Kandara, Murang’a County.

The Head of State gave the people his assurance that the economy would soon get back on track.

“We have a long-term plan that will stimulate a sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” he said, insisting that no part of Kenya will be left behind.

The leaders urged President Ruto to continue fighting corruption with vigor.

According to Governor Kang’ata, it is improper for someone to make money off of public resources.

Kikuyu Mp, KimanIchungw’ah, insisted  that the President is serious about safeguarding public resources.

The comments follow President Ruto’s recent suspension of public servants at KEBS and KEMSA who were accused of engaging in corrupt business.
