Speaking during the resumption of the exhumation exercise, the Interior CS revealed that the detectives had begun digging up 20 graves.
Kindiki described the Shakahola cult deaths as a highly organized crime and stated that the exhumation process will take longer than anticipated due to the large number of graves found.
“I am afraid that we have many more graves in this forest, and therefore it leads us to conclude that this was a highly organised crime and I assure the country that the government will do whatever it takes to unravel this organised criminal activity,” the Interior CS said.

Kindiki reaffirmed that the government was committed to figuring out what may have led to the killings in Shakahola, where pastor Paul Mackenzie’s believers were allegedly told to fast till death.
It has been determined that some victims of the Shakahola massacre were discovered with missing body organs.
According to documents filed in court, Chief Inspector Martin Munene confrmed an autopsy done by government pathologist Johansen Oduor determined missing organs in some of the bodies so far exhumed.
Munene said they are seeking to link pastor Mackenzie to human organ harvesting and trafficking
