President William Ruto left Nairobi on Sunday morning for the United Kingdom and the United States. He is scheduled to hold talks with world leaders.

Ruto is scheduled to attend a reception hosted by King Charles III for world leaders at Buckingham Palace on his arrival in the United Kingdom. The president is also to attend funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On Monday evening the President will proceed to the United States where he will address the UN General Assembly in New York in the annual General Debate when National leaders and diplomats address the world.

After the UNGA address, President Ruto is scheduled to join world leaders at a reception hosted by US President Joe Biden, which would mark the end of his tour.

In this trip the President was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto and other leaders. State House did not give detailed agendas that the President and his team would discuss with the global leaders.

The meetings will bring him close to the world’s influential leaders, putting him in a strong position to push for his agenda.
