The Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has been caught by time in declaring his running mate as IEBC sets deadline.

The IEBC commission declared that all party leaders must have nominated and forward the names of their running mates by Thursday this week. Raila Odinga is expected today to make a final attempt to convince the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to postpone the Thursday deadline for submission of his running mate’s name.

Azimio la Umoja has already allocated a seven-member team to assist in identifying the person to deputize Odinga and are expected to unveil their preferred candidate on April 28, which is IEBC’s deadline for submitting their preferred candidate.
