A woman at Ndanai trading center in Bomet stabbed his Bodaboda boyfriend after getting her red handed with another man. Weldon Terer forcefully entered into a room where his girlfriend was having good time with another man.
An argument ensued between the two, which triggered the 20 year old woman to grab a kitchen knife and stabbed Weldon on the chest, dying on the spot. The commotion attracted the public who gave this woman a thorough beating, but was rescued by the police officers.
The woman was taken to hospital and she is recuperating, while Weldon’s body was taken to the morgue. Cases of lovers murdering each other are on the rise in recent times.
Guiding and counseling centers have to be established to provide counseling services to enraged couples to reduce such tragedy endings. The government should play an integral role in establishing such centers to help reduce love related tragedies.
